 School Library

The local school Media Specialist, also known as the Library Information Specialist (LIS), is an integral part of the effort to teach age-appropriate library information skills to the students in the school district.

The school-based LIS encourages students in reading for understanding and enjoyment, and ensures a library media program that supports the teachers and their teaching of the curriculum.

Professional resources for teachers and technical assistance with software programs and computer hardware are provided at the school level by the LIS and Technology Contact.
