Applying online is the most efficient way to submit and manage your child's application.

How to Apply

You must use FIREFOX or CHROME as your browser when submitting  the Choice application.

If you HAVE a parent portal account, you will have the Choice application located under the My Child menu.
To access the parent portal, click here:

If you DO NOT have a parent portal account but your child is enrolled in an Osceola county school, go to:
and create a parent portal account. To create a parent portal account, you will need your child's student ID, birthdate, and last 4 digits of his/her social security number. If one of these is not available, you will have to go to your child's school and present a picture ID.

The following is a two-step process.

If your child is:

     a. new to the district

     b. enrolled in a charter school (except Bellalago Charter Academy)
Note: Some charter schools use the district's parent portal. If your charter school uses the district's parent portal, DO NOT use the link below. Please go directly to your parent portal to complete the Choice application under the Forms menu.

     c. a home education student

     d. not an Osceola County resident

go to,
to create an account for your child. Then, go to:
to complete the Choice application.

1. Every student applying must complete an application.
2. Remember to "Save" your application or it will not be considered in the Choice lottery.
3. To view your pending application or its priority ranking number, go to your account, click on the My Child menu and then on School Choice Application.

Choice for Capacity

Public School Choice is the practice of allowing all families to make meaningful decisions about how and where their children will receive a primary and secondary education from a variety of public schools and programs. In Florida, Public School Choice options may include, but not be limited to, controlled open enrollment, charter schools, alternative schools, special programs, advanced placement, dual enrollment, International Baccalaureate, virtual school, home school and CTE programs. Public School Choice options are also encompassed in the Opportunity Scholarship Program and the McKay Scholarship for Students with Disabilities Program.
